If the future is a bet, the past and present of Metalcastello are a promise that has always been kept. With a long history and constant innovation, we are now the world leader in gears for mechanical transmissions in many manufacturing sectors, such as earth-moving equipment, farm tractors, industrial vehicles and naval applications. Our skills are not limited to technological excellence and the engineering of components produced in series, but extend to the design and implementation of complete, customised solutions that respond to the specific needs of each customer. Our team of experienced professionals works in synergy with each customer, analysing needs and special cases in order to design and implement production techniques that resolve the most complex problems, achieving the highest standards of quality, efficiency and flexibility.

1952
Metalcastello was founded by two entrepreneurs from Emilia, focusing initially on transmissions for farm tractors.
1965
The propensity to develop and grow led us to open a new factory at Castel di Casio, still the headquarters of our Group, equipped with innovative machines for the series production of gears and transmission shafts.
ANNI ’80
Activities grew, not least with successful solutions for the motor sport sector.
ANNI ‘90
Expansion into the European and Asian markets and, above all, into North America, focusing on the OEM market and investing in ever more specialist and experienced personnel and professionals.
2000
Transformed into an S.p.a. and ever more competitive, we honed the excellence of our production automation, installed a modern heat treatment department and invested in new technologies. Steady internationalisation began, enabling us compete on the world stage: first with our acquisition by Development Capital, a private equity fund managed by the Italian Alto Partners; then by joining Mahindra&Mahindra, a huge Indian group with a focus on the Automotive sector.
WE, TODAY.
We are part of an important Industrial Group (CIE Automotive) which develops a turnover worth 2.5 billion Euros, present throughout the world. Metalcastello records a turnover of around 70 million euros and employs around 200 qualified employees.
