SARANNO VIRTUOSI 2022: SCUTIGLIANI, CEO OF METALCASTELLO TO THE STUDENTS: “BE CURIOUS, EXPLORE THE WORLD WITH PASSION”

16.12.2022

Nearly three hundred middle school students from the upper Reno valley gathered yesterday at the Lizzano in Belvedere sports hall to take part in the fourth meeting of “Saranno Virtuosi”, an event sponsored by Metalcastello as part of the Festival of Technical Culture. A project that the Company has been developing for four years in collaboration with the DiRE Press Agency to debunk the often negative clichés about technical culture.

Stefano Scutigliani, CEO of Metalcastello, spoke to students who had just completed their middle school education in a talk show that allowed them to approach technical culture through games and videos developed in the classroom.

“Gears have always made the world go round” Scutigliani explained to the students: yesterday it was mills, tomorrow it will be drones that make cars fly. And they are beautiful objects, their forms are like genuine works of art”. Metalcastello produces them in the Apennines and exports them all over the world: “If we are excellent at this, it is thanks to technical culture. Which shouldn't be considered second best: technology is the engine of innovation, which still has to be based on Humanism. Financial results matter, but human ones, such as safety and welfare, matter just as much”.

The CEO of the company based in Castel di Casio then focused on the concepts of passion and creativity: “We are projected into the future but we have less imagination. This is why I tell you young people to use curiosity, also to remove stereotypes: factory work has changed and the changes come from innovation. We need your energy and desire to explore: take the time you need to decide your path, then put all your efforts into taking that path and go as far as you possibly can: you will discover lots of things and these will help make you ready to face life”.
