22.11.2022
A Sunday of celebration at Istituto di Istruzione Superiore “Montessori-Da Vinci” of Porretta Terme for the award to 19 third, fourth and fifth year students of the "Metalcastello prize for the best school average in mechatronics" during the last academic year.
To cultivate talent in youngsters, their ability to work as a team and enhance the local area: the main theme of the event was analysed by Luisa Macario, the School Principal, together with Giuseppe Nanni, Mayor of Alto Reno Terme, and Stefano Scutigliani, CEO of Metalcastello. With them Massimo Morandi, President of the School Council, and Giovanni Casanova, President of the Itis Da Vinci Alumni Association.
“We have very close ties to this school,” comments Stefano Scutigliani, “which produces so much quality. This year, there is a record number of prize-winners and all of them deserve recognition. They should be proud of what they have achieved, because this excellence has been cultivated over time: thanks to their strength of will, their teachers and their families. What is special about Metalcastello? I believe that at work we breathe the air of this land: a virtuous air, made up of people who collaborate and build, always bearing in mind a sense of community.”
"School, society, the world of work and voluntary associations are realities that combine well here", says Mayor Giuseppe Nanni, "and today they are represented by a leading company in the world that has never wanted to stray from its roots, and by a school that gives youngsters the certainty of finding a job."
“The merit of these boys”, concludes Principal Luisa Macario, "which is exactly what we try to convey to them, is this: be collaborative, work as a team, strive to grow as active members of the community, to become valid professionals in life."
