- Metalcastello was founded by two entrepreneurs from Emilia, focusing initially on transmissions for farm tractors.
- The propensity to develop and grow led us to open a new factory at Castel di Casio, still the headquarters of our Group, equipped with innovative machines for the series production of gears and transmission shafts.
- Activities grew, not least with successful solutions for the motor sport sector.
Expansion into the European and Asian markets and, above all, into North America, focusing on the OEM market and investing in ever more specialist and experienced personnel and professionals.
- Transformed into an S.p.a. and ever more competitive, we honed the excellence of our production automation, installed a modern heat treatment department and invested in new technologies. Steady internationalisation began, enabling us compete on the world stage: first with our acquisition by Development Capital, a private equity fund managed by the Italian Alto Partners; then by joining Mahindra&Mahindra, a huge Indian group with a focus on the Automotive sector and, most recently, via the majority stake taken by CIE Automotive Ltd, a Spanish group.
WHO WE ARE TODAY
We are part of a major industrial group (CIE Automotive) with annual sales of 2.5 billion euro and a global presence.
Metalcastello generates annual sales of about 60 million euro, employing about 260 experienced persons.
